Calis is situated to the north-west of Fethiye town centre and just 45km from Dalaman Airport. A very popular town for both fullt time residents and visitors. Fethiye has a very cosmopolitan population and this is refelceted in the range of foods available as well as cultural activities. Popular with both Turks and foreign nationals, the community enjoys free access to a long beach and is famous for its sunsets, wind-surfing and kite-boarding.

Average temperatures in July and August are around 32C while winter temperatures rarely drop below 10C.

The community has its own Sunday market, doctors’ surgeries, bakers, chemists, supermarkets, numerous shops and a popular seaside promenade lined with bars and restaurants.

For those wishing to reside there with families, there are many private and state schools to choose from. 

The state hospital is nearby and regular bus services connect the community with Fethiye. There is also a water taxi to and from Fethiye in the summer when boat tours are also available to the local islands and bays.
