Over the past year this house has undergone some renovations and refurbishments such as, new wiring, new kitchen, underfloor heating and solar panels to name a few.

Entering the villa on ground level there is a staircase, a separate w.c., 1 en-suite bedroom and the open-plan living area. Moving through to the fully equipped kitchen, it also has a very nice island in the middle that can be used as a preparation area or a breakfast bar. There are plenty of worktops and storage cupboards. A couple of steps take you down to the dining area and also a comfortable lounge area. From the lounge there is access to a small terrace which could be incorporated as part of the living area making it bigger.

Upstairs in this part of the house is the master bedroom. This room has its own bathroom and a walk-in wardrobe. Additionally, there is plenty of light coming into the room, it also has its own balcony and beautiful views.

To access the other 2 bedrooms you will walk across the terrace from the main part of the house. These bedrooms are on the ground floor and are both en-suite. Additionally, the basement in the main part of the house is a 1-bedroom apartment with bathroom and lounge area. It also has a kitchen. The basement has its own access from the side of the house. This could be altered to have a sauna, Turkish bath and cinema room.

Outside in the garden apart from the large terrace there is a very good-sized brand-new pool. To the side of the pool there is a Turkish Kosk, a lovely place to relax and shade from the sun. Additionally, there is a pizza oven, barbecue and an irrigation system for the garden. The steps that go down to the garden also lead to a large workshop or “man cave”.

Islamlar

Islamlar was established as a farming community and is known for producing grapes and fruit. However, more recently tourism has also become a significant industry.

The village retains much of its charm but restaurants offering both seafood and traditional Turkish dishes have also sprung up. More shops have also opened to serve local needs – although both Kalkan and Kas are not too far away.

About Kalkan

Kalkan is a harbour town on the Turkish Mediterranean coast not yet overdeveloped to cater for huge numbers of visitors.

The town is part of the famous Turquoise Coast and within easy reach of well-known historical sites. These include the beach and ruins at Patara – reputed to be the birthplace of St Nicholas – and Kaputas Beach, which are both close by.

Although in the Antalya province, Kalkan is more closely related to Fethiye. It was first established as a fishing port and the only safe harbour between Kaş and Fethiye. White-washed houses descend to the sea, many adorned with brightly-coloured bougainvillea.

The town averages 300 days of sunshine a year. Visitors are mostly those looking for a more relaxed or romantic destination rather than the bright lights of some of the bigger resorts.
