An Epique opportunity
Why Bodrum has taken on a special significance for us

Bodrum
We’ve been marketing villas and apartments in Europe and Turkey for quite a few years now and even advised governments on the best way to develop a luxury property market.
We’ve sold some truly jaw-dropping homes and really enjoyed helping our customers both buy and sell their place in the sun.
The joy and sense of fulfilment we often encounter is both hugely rewarding and the inspiration behind what keeps us going.
But, now and again, an opportunity comes along to another level – and our involvement in marketing Bodrum’s Epique Island development is a good example.
A statement in luxury
Begun in 2013, the project was designed to make its mark on the luxury property market.
First of all, it represent the first communal development in Turkey designed by world-renowned South African architects SAOTA, famous for luxury homes around the globe – usually worth millions.
Exterior features include heated infinity pools set in landscaped gardens and with unspoiled views of the Aegean, decked pergolas and outdoor seating areas complete with fire pits for the cooler months.
Inside you’ll find state-of-art, sound-proofed windows and sliding patio doors; solid oak floors, panelling and distinctive ceilings bearing the SAOTO hallmark design; separate staff accommodation complete with bathrooms; high-tech, top-of-the range kitchens with sliding doors to screen the cooking areas; modern plant rooms and smart technology for heating, lighting and the electrically-operated sun blinds.
Epique style
Not only that but Epique Island residents benefit from access to their own private restaurant; a beach club complete with access to an infinity pool, jetties offering access to the Aegean, sand and pebble beaches; a fitness centre and spa treatment rooms; a separate club house; and a kids’ club offering both educational and recreational opportunities and including an outside play area and paddling pool and a youth club for teenagers including a games room.
Each new owner can also buy into a maintenance contract if required, covering both their gardens and pool as well as the high-tech home luxuries such as the modern underfloor heating and air-conditioning systems.
A boutique hotel, including a pool and fitness centre, and a 150-berth marina are also included in the second phase of the development, expected to begin in two years’ time.
But, as you might expect from such and exclusive settlement, you’ll need pretty deep pockets to acquire one of the three-, four- or five-bedroom villas, with prices starting at around €2.5m.
Some may be surprised to learn the most expensive villas have already been snapped up – but then Bodrum is currently enjoying a growing reputation as an alternative to locations such as St Tropez, Bali and Mykonos and attracting both Russian oligarchs and western tycoons and their huge yachts, celebrities and sports stars from all over the world and even European royalty.
An exciting opportunity
Epique Island is therefore nearing completion at the perfect time and offers us an opportunity to play a part as the town enjoys a new and prosperous era in its long and chequered history.
Working in partnership with the builders of Epique Island is both an exciting opportunity and a significant responsibility but we’re hugely excited by the challenge and look forward to working as a team.
We’ve always pledged to do our very best for every single client right from marketing their home through to after-sales services including orientation, administration and applications for Golden Visas or citizenship when appropriate and certainly, any purchaser of one of these properties will be automatically eligible to apply for Turkish citizenship .
